As the name implies, the Featured content component is used to visually highlight a specific content link, usually a content item that is considered of high importance.

The component consists of an image, aligned either to the left or right, and then a text area with a Title, descriptive text, and a button to link to the desired page or asset, which can be an external link. 

You can format the text area with either a white or blue background.

Mark the image as decorative if it does not convey any information to the end user.

You can also assign an anchor ID to your Featured content component if you want the ability to link directly to that position on the page.
