The SideNav component is used to provide links to related content. When placed on a page, the SideNav component automatically displays all sibling pages  – in other words, pages that reside in the same folder structure as the current page. It’s not necessary to choose a folder: the component will automatically display the contents of the current folder.

TxDOT uses the placement convention of including SideNav in a left-hand column, usually with a 3-9 Column Control or the 3-6-3 Column Control.

The SideNav will also display the children of the current page as expanded links.

The component has a single attribute that you can configure, which is to only display child pages to the current page, rather than siblings.
