BikeStripe Initiative

BikeStripe is an initiative by TxDOT’s Bicycle Advisory Committee. The image below outlines the steps a community can take to identify, plan and develop on-street bikeways on existing roadways. The agency responsible for maintaining the roadway has the final decision on whether to construct bikeways.
