Purple Heart 375 Widening Project
Continuous closure beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 19 - 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 15
- Purple Heart Highway (Loop 375) northbound Iron Medics Exit Ramp full closure
Crews will be constructing new alignment for the ramp.
Continuous closure until further notice
- Purple Heart Highway north- and southbound shoulder closures from Montana Avenue to Spur 601
Crews will widen main lanes and construct north- and southbound frontage roads.
Loop 375 Widening Project
Monday, March 23 – Friday, March 27
Daily, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Americas Avenue alternating closures of Entrance and Exit Ramps between North Loop Drive and South Americas Avenue (Truck Port of Entry)
Crews will be working on installing permanent crash cushion attenuators.
- Loop 375 alternating lane closure north- and southbound between I-10 and Zaragoza Road (Port of Entry)
- Americas Avenue alternating lane closure north- and southbound between I-10 and Padres Drive
Crews will be working on ride quality assurance testing.
Bridge Maintenance Project
Sunday, March 22 – Monday, March 23
Nightly, 9 p.m. - 6 a.m.
- I-10 eastbound to US 54 eastbound connector
- Gateway Boulevard East left lane closure at I-10 eastbound to US 54 eastbound connector underpass
Horizon/Darrington Reconstruction Project
Monday, March 23 - Friday, March 27
Daily, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Horizon Boulevard eastbound right lanes closed at Darrington Road intersection
- Darrington Road alternating north- and southbound lane closures between Horizon Boulevard and Pawling Drive
Crews will be working on electrical work in islands in intersection.
Continuous closure until Friday, May 1 at 4 p.m.
- Darrington Road southbound full closure between Horizon Boulevard and Homestead Drive
Crews will be working on southbound Darrington Road.
Continuous closure until May 2026
- Pete La Rue Circle will follow detour entrance and exit at Roslyn Drive
Crews will be working on storm culverts, final subgrade, pavement operations and milling.
Safety Lighting Project
Monday, March 23 - Friday, March 27
Daily, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Titanic Avenue east- and westbound right shoulder closures between Howard Street and Pandora Street
- Copia Street north-and southbound alternating lane closure between Wyoming Avenue and Hueco Avenue
- Dyer Street north-and southbound alternating lane closure between Kemp Avenue and Van Buren Avenue
Crews will be doing shoulder work.
FM 258 Safety Improvements Project
Monday, March 23 - Friday, March 27
Daily, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Socorro Road east- and westbound right lane closure between Winn Road and Apodaca Road
Crews will be working on installation of sidewalks, driveways, and curbs.
Montana Widening Project
Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday, March 26
Nightly, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m.
- Montana Avenue eastbound frontage road full closure between Saul Kleinfield Drive and Tierra Este Road
Crews will be working on traffic switch. Once the closure lifts on the 26th, one lane traffic on the eastbound frontage road will be shifted left to new pavement and right lane turn at Joe Battle will move ahead of the intersection.
Continuous closure until December 2026
- Montana Avenue eastbound frontage road reduced to one lane from Saul Kleinfield to Tierra Este Road
- Montana Avenue and Joe Battle Boulevard intersection, northbound and southbound of Joe Battle through lanes closed.
- Montana Avenue westbound frontage road reduced to two lanes from Tierra Este Road to Joe Battle Boulevard
Crews will be working on building underpass.
PROJECTS WITH CONTINUOUS CLOSURES
Sergeant Major Bridge Reconstruction Project
Continuous closure until March 2026
- Purple Heart Highway (Loop 375) north- and southbound Sargent Major Exit Ramps closed
Crews will be working on ramp widening and shared use path extension.
I-10 Hudspeth Safety Rest Area
Continuous closure until December 2026
- I-10 east- and westbound shoulder closure between Fort Hancock and McNary
Crews will be working on utility installation.
Median Concrete Barrier Project
Continuous closure until further notice
- Montana Avenue (US 62/180) east and westbound complete left lane closure between RM 124 and RM 126 (Guadalupe Peak)
- Traffic will be reduced to one lane in work areas.
Closure is necessary for installation of median concrete barrier.
RM 652 Full Widening Project
Continuous closure until further notice
- RM 652 westbound lanes reduced to one lane two-way traffic from FM 3541 to Kimble Draw Bridge
Closure is necessary for the reconstruction of the roadway.
RM 652 Full Depth Rehabilitation Project
Continuous closure until further notice
- RM 652 east and westbound alternating lane closure 8.36 miles east of FM 3541 to Reeves County Line
- Continuous two-way traffic, one-lane work zone requiring traffic to be alternating onto one lane and controlled by Temporary Traffic Signals with a 13-foot lane width restriction.
Closure is necessary for the construction of new roadway consisting of full depth rehabilitation.
