I-10 widening west closures

Phase I

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Monday, March 23

• I-10 westbound at Thorn exit ramp closed
• Traffic to use next available exit

Crews will be working on electrical and ITS work.

Monday, March 23 - Friday, March 27

• I-10 eastbound between Thorn and Mesa alternate lane closures
• Traffic will be reduced to one lane

Crews will be working on final roadway pavement markings.

Tuesday, March 24 - Wednesday, March 25

• I-10 eastbound at Mesa entrance ramp closed
• Traffic to use next available entrance.

Crews will be working on final roadway pavement markings.

Continuous closure until further notice 24/7

Monday, June 9, 2025 - End of March 2026

• South Desert between Transmountain and Isela Rubalcava reduced to one lane
• Transmountain West to East turnaround closed

Detour: Traffic through intersection at Transmountain.

Crews will be working on new roadway reconfiguration for South Desert.

Phase 2

Continuous closures

• Bridge C between Anthony and Vinton U-Turn Underpass closed

Detour: Traffic on North Desert proceeds to Anthony, TX and utilizes U-turn Bridge. Traffic on South Desert proceeds to Vinton, TX and utilizes U-turn Bridge.

Crews will be conducting bridge demolition and construction U-turns under I-10.

• South Desert between Valley Chile and Vinton Steel left lane closed

Detour: Traffic will be kept in one lane, with access to entrance ramp at Valley Chile, then continue in one lane of traffic until past Bridge D (Vinton Steel).

Crews will be working on walls.

Monday, March 23 - Saturday, March 28 (As Needed)

Daily, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Nightly, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• I-10 east and westbound between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures
• North and South Desert between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closures

Crews will be working on concrete paving and paving trucks will be exiting the work area, crossing from median to I-10.

Monday, March 23 - Friday, March 28 (As Needed)

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Bypass lanes between Mesa and Redd east and westbound closed

Detour: Traffic will continue along South Desert, through the Thorn Intersection, and enter I-10 before Mesa.

Detour: Traffic will continue along North Desert, through the Thorn Intersection, and enter I-10 before Redd.

Crews will be completing construction on an ornamental fence and landscape at Thorn.

Tuesday, March 24

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• North Desert between Enchanted Hills and David closed

Detour: Traffic to use I-10 WB Entrance Ramp at Enchanted Hills and Exit at Vinton

Thursday, March 26

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• South Desert between Vinton Road and Vinton Avenue closed

Detour: Traffic to use I-10 EB Entrance Ramp at Vinton Road and exit at Loop 375 Transmountain Off Ramp. Logwood will be closed at South Desert.
