Work continues on US 385 project in Levelland

Lane closures planned

LEVELLAND – The Texas Department of Transportation continues to make improvements to US 385 in Levelland. Next week, crews will resume work to make improvements to more than 3.8 miles of US 385 through the city of Levelland.

Starting Monday, March 17, crews will begin work to remove the old roadway surface, between Business SH 114 and SH 114 (from McDonalds to the railroad tracks), and replace it with a new driving surface.

Drivers should anticipate various lane closures, traffic down to one-lane in each direction, delays and are asked to stay alert and slow down as they approach the work zone.

Work to resurface US 385, from SH 114 to Brazil Road, is also included in the project and scheduled to take place later this spring.

The project anticipated completion date is summer 2025.
