Purpose | The purpose of the public meeting is to solicit input on the Brookshire-Pattison Mobility Study in Waller County, Texas. The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format. Staff will be available to answer questions. |
Description | The mobility study is to identify short-, medium-, and long-term transportation solutions that improve safety, mobility, and sustainability while accommodating the region’s residential and commercial growth in the City of Brookshire, the City of Pattison, and their surrounding areas. Covering over 29 miles of key roadways, including major north-south corridors (FM 359, FM 362, and FM 1489) and east-west routes (IH-10, US 90, and FM 1458). The study aims to analyze existing conditions, identify future mobility needs, and recommend transportation solutions that align with the area's anticipated growth. The study will also evaluate opportunities for multimodal transportation, ensuring that passenger, freight, pedestrian, cycling, and transit options are incorporated into the region's transportation network. Any environmental documentation or studies, maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed project are on file and available for review Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Houston District Office, 7600 Washington Avenue, Houston, Texas 77007. Project materials are also available online on this webpage. These materials will also be available in hard copy form for review at the in-person option. |
